LIGHT THE WORLD
Four weeks to serve. One perfect example. I love this Christmas tradition, sponsored by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It's an effort to remind us to give as Jesus gave, one person at a time.

Share how you're lighting the world by commenting below -- and if you have a picture to send with it, I would love that! (send it separately to shawna(at)shawnaedwardsmusic(dot)com and I'll add it to the blog.) When I see your comment, I'll send you whichever you want -- an mp3 or the sheet music of "He is the Gift."
I'll be sharing how our family is lighting the world in the next few blog posts.

By serving on the board of a food bank, helping people in need, volunteering at a thrift store, outreach ministry and serving as an elder in the church, and of course ministering through music.
We helped gather donations and donated to get supplies (sister gifts for some sister missionaries, white shirts and ties and socks and some American candy) sent to my son’s mission in Peru to provide christmas packages for about 30-40 of the missionaries in his mission that wouldn’t be getting a christmas package so now they all will.
My family is taking an older sister, whom we love, to see a special production of the Nutcracker, set in the 1858 Kingdom of Hawaii. We’re all very excited.
For youth night tonight our young women went to an assisted living center and played games and visited with some of the residents. It was a great experience; not only to see the youth interact with them, but also a reminder to myself to be grateful for even the small things in life.
I took flicker candles with the Light World candle and a little bag of homemade treats (muddy buddies or grinch bread) to my neighbors. Thanks for being so willing to share your “He is the Gift” sheet music.
